This painting is very nice, man. Very, very nice. I hope I get to see it in person, but I suppose I should hope, for your the sake of your bank account, that I don't. ;)
You should check out Charles Burchfield and Gregory Amenoff. I prefer Amenoff - some of my "in progress" paintings are leaning in this direction, too - but your work often reminds me of one or the other, even if only indirectly. Both are talented artists who deserve more recognition, though Amenoff was big in the early 1990s. The Muscarelle Museum at W & M even bought some of his paintings.
Thanks for the compliment. A teacher of mine turned me on to Burchfield a while back. His stuff can be breathtaking... or it can flop. That said, most of us will be lucky if we ever even get to 'breathtaking.' I'll make sure to check out the other guy.
